ETI'S DUAL ACTUATION FOAM FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

........x..... ........ .. c

WHY DUAL ACTUATION?

MOBILE FIRE SYSTEMS - Most fire systems on the market today work off one of two types of pneumatic actuation:- Most are listed as only PRE-ENGINEERED FIRE SYSTEMS?? Not FULLY ENGINEERED as is the ETI fire system.

RISE OF PRESSURE – This system gives very robust resistance to false alarm and this allows uninterrupted operation. However it requires exacting maintenance to ensure reliability. The fire detectors also only re-act to substantial fire and are slow in detecting.

LOSS OF PRESSURE – This system has much faster and more sensitive fire detection. It also supervises constantly the actuation circuit. Its large disadvantage is that because the entire actuation network is constantly pressurised by the foam cylinder, it is prone to leak failures. These can cause constant interruption to operations.

ETI’S DUAL ACTUATION SYSTEM – This system allows the capture of the best advantages of both systems while minimising the disadvantages. Loss of pressure detection is used in the critical fire risk for fast detection and constant supervision. Reliable rise of pressure manual actuators provide the extra actuation points without exposing the system to constant leak failures.

COMPLIANCE - The ETI fire system is a FULLY ENGINEERED FOAM FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM. Our listing program to Australian Standard AS 5062 for this classification is recognised by NATA Australia.

HOW DOES THE ETI DUAL ACTUATION SYSTEM WORK?

ETI uses it PATENTED DUAL ACTUATION VALVE..

The ETI dual actuation valve uses a patented differential pressure piston to re-act to either loss of pressure or rise of pressure actuations. This gives it the unique ability to handle both types of device at the same time. This means the system can be designed to capture the best advantages of both Rise and Loss of pressure systems and to minimise their disadvantages

This gives ETI the most effective system on the market today with low down time problems.

It also means that for large high risk machines, two types of pressure detection can be used for lower risk.

LOSS OF MAJOR EQUIPMENT CAN CRIPPLE PRODUCTION.

High Risks like large hydraulic excavators and even all larg machines can represent mammoth losses in production when lost to fire..

FOR HIGH RISKS, ETI OFFERS IT'S OPTICAL DETECTION SYSTEM, ENGINEERED TO ITS DUAL ACTUATION SYSTEM

High Risks like large hydraulic excavators and even all large machines can represent mammoth losses in production when lost to fire.
Many fires erupt in the pivot area where large amounts of high pressure hydraulic equipment add extra risk. The extreme pressure turns normally low volatility hydraulic oil into an extreme volatility combination.
The ETI optical system uses spread spectrum Infra Red Detection, specially calibrated for the application to give instant fire detection and low false alarm.
The ETI Alarm Panel re-acts immediately by initiating an engine shut down procedure to remove the high pressure feed of the fuels to the fire.
It then releases the foam suppression system to deal with the residual fire!
